The <strong>vegan falafel wrap<\/strong> is best known as Lebanese street food and is the perfect lunchtime snack or snack on the go.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-the-falafel-wrap-ingredients-a-handful-of-classics\">The falafel wrap ingredients &#8211; a handful of classics<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>What makes Lebanese street food, the falafel wrap, so special? It&#8217;s quite simple: it&#8217;s the perfect blend of different textures and flavors. Because it consists of several classic components. The three main components are <strong>Lebanese flatbread<\/strong>, <strong>falafel<\/strong> and <strong>tahini sauce<\/strong>. You can always find these traditional dishes as a side dish or as part of a <a href=\"https:\/\/bistrobadia.de\/en\/category\/mezze-rezepte\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">mezze<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>For the falafel wrap with the classic ingredients, as I know it from Lebanon, you need the following ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Lebanese flatbread:<\/strong> you can make this thin, elastic bread yourself or buy it from an Arab bakery. You can find the <strong>basic recipe<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/bistrobadia.de\/en\/lebanese-pita-bread\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Falafel:<\/strong> should be fresh and crispy. You can of course also buy some, but please don&#8217;t buy the weird ones from the supermarket next door, but frozen ones from an Arab supermarket. You can find the <strong>basic recipe<\/strong> for falafel <a href=\"https:\/\/bistrobadia.de\/en\/how-to-make-falafel\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Tahini sauce:<\/strong> is quickly stirred together. Use good tahini or make it yourself. You can find the <strong>basic recipe<\/strong> for tahini sauce <a href=\"https:\/\/bistrobadia.de\/en\/tahini-sauce-basic-recipe\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Pickled cucumbers:<\/strong> Lebanese pickled cucumbers are very salty. So please use really salty cucumbers and <strong>not<\/strong> sweet and sour pickled cucumbers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Tomatoes:<\/strong> you can use the simple, juicy vine tomatoes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Pink pickled turnips:<\/strong> you won&#8217;t find them everywhere. You should also buy them in the Arab supermarket.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Parsley:<\/strong> you can add it, stalks and all, to the flatbread. This is street food and can therefore be a little coarser.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If you really want to make everything yourself, then you should set aside a few hours. Or even better: organize a cooking evening with friends, as the preparation of the individual components can be easily divided up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can also prepare the falafel in the <a href=\"https:\/\/bistrobadia.de\/en\/falafel-in-oven\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">oven<\/a> or in a hot <a href=\"https:\/\/bistrobadia.de\/en\/falafel-from-the-air-fryer\/\">air fryer<\/a> to save a few calories. Alternatively, you can modify the recipe and prepare the street food with <a href=\"https:\/\/bistrobadia.de\/en\/beet-falafel\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">beet falafel<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/bistrobadia.de\/en\/egyptian-falafel-taameya\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Egyptian falafel taameya<\/a>. But first try the classic <strong>original falafel wrap recipe<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I admit: the <strong>vegan falafel wrap<\/strong> and its ingredients need a little preparation (unless you buy ready-made falafel). But it&#8217;s worth it! And once everything is well prepared, you can make the wrap <strong>quickly<\/strong> and <strong>easily<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-make-your-own-falafel-wrap-how-to-make-lebanese-street-food-at-home\">Make your own falafel wrap &#8211; how to make Lebanese street food at home<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Do you have all the ingredients ready or do you need to make a quick trip to the Arab supermarket? The great thing about this <strong>falafel wrap recipe<\/strong> is that you can prepare the individual ingredients in advance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you make falafel yourself, for example, then make an extra portion straight away, because you can <a href=\"https:\/\/bistrobadia.de\/en\/freezing-falafel\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">freeze falafel<\/a> \u2013 just like the flatbread.
