They are definitely less greasy, just as crispy and also very high in protein. What&#8217;s more, this baked <strong>chickpea snack<\/strong> is super easy to prepare and can be varied as desired.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-baked-chickpeas-the-ingredients-for-the-roasted-oven-snack\">Baked chickpeas &#8211; the ingredients for the roasted oven snack<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Often you don&#8217;t really know what&#8217;s in store-bought snacks. Vegans also have to check whether a snack that is actually naturally free from animal ingredients actually contains no additives.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That&#8217;s why I&#8217;m sharing this <strong>recipe for roasted chickpeas<\/strong> with you, because oven-roasted chickpeas are a vegan and healthy snack that you can prepare super <strong>quickly<\/strong>. And you don&#8217;t need many ingredients to roast the pulses in the oven. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>To roast the chickpeas in the oven, you need the following ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Chickpeas:<\/strong> use the ones from the jar because they are already cooked and you save time.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Olive oil:<\/strong> use a good one, such as <em>extra virgin olive oil<\/em> (natural and of high quality), which you can heat to a high temperature.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Spices:<\/strong> a good sea salt, or even better a salt with iodine, enhances the flavor. I also used <a href=\"https:\/\/bistrobadia.de\/en\/zaatar-recipe\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">za&#8217;atar<\/a> &#8211; a spice mix from Lebanon. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>So you decide how your crispy snack should taste and which ingredients are used &#8211; free from additives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-preparing-roasted-chickpeas-in-the-oven-here-s-how\">Preparing roasted chickpeas in the oven &#8211; here&#8217;s how<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Preparing the baked peas is really easy and takes very little time. And as it&#8217;s an oven recipe, you can do other things on the side. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You simply take <strong>cooked<\/strong> chickpeas (canned or <a href=\"https:\/\/bistrobadia.de\/en\/how-to-cook-chickpeas\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">home-cooked<\/a>) and <strong>dry<\/strong> them really well with a kitchen towel.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>They are then mixed in a bowl with oil &#8211; <strong>olive oil<\/strong> for the savory varieties and <strong>rapeseed oil<\/strong> for the sweet varieties.  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The oiled chickpeas are then placed in the oven and roasted for about <strong>30 minutes<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The last step is <strong>seasoning<\/strong> and then you can take the baked chickpeas to the couch to snack on &#8211; let them cool a little so you don&#8217;t burn your fingers.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Some spices can release <strong>bitter substances<\/strong> during roasting, so only season the roasted chickpeas <strong>after<\/strong> they come out of the oven.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the sweet versions, you can add the sugar <strong>halfway<\/strong> through the baking time and the pulses will <strong>caramelize<\/strong> beautifully.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I hope you enjoy preparing and snacking on them.
