Chickpea means in Arabic <strong><em>hummus<\/em><\/strong>. This is where the <a href=\"https:\/\/bistrobadia.de\/en\/hummus\/hummus\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">delicious cream<\/a> gets its name from. Here, however, we don&#8217;t turn the good <strong>pulses<\/strong> into a creamy deity, but leave them whole and cover them with a delicious sauce made from <strong>tahini<\/strong> and <strong>yoghurt<\/strong> and place them on crusty <strong>bread<\/strong>.     <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Plucked, not cut!<\/h2>\n\n<p><strong>Fatteh<\/strong> is a dish that is traditionally served for (late) breakfast. There are various ways to make fatteh, for example with <a href=\"https:\/\/bistrobadia.de\/en\/aubergines-fatteh\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">fried eggplant<\/a> or with <a href=\"https:\/\/bistrobadia.de\/en\/chicken-fatteh\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">chicken<\/a>. Hummus fatteh is the <strong>basic version<\/strong>.  <\/p>\n\n<p>The name comes from the Arabic word for plucking or tearing. This refers to the <strong>plucking of<\/strong> the <a href=\"https:\/\/bistrobadia.de\/en\/lebanese-pita-bread\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">flatbread<\/a> that serves as the basis for the delicious veggie dish. Get away from bacon and eggs and treat yourself to these warm, tender chickpeas on crispy flatbread with a yoghurt and tahini sauce and a good <strong>hint of garlic<\/strong>. Top it off with butter-roasted <strong>pine nuts<\/strong>.    <\/p>\n\n<p>I personally roast the seeds until they darken a little and the butter has turned slightly brown. Finally, top with freshly chopped <strong>parsley<\/strong>, some <strong>dried mint<\/strong> and <strong>paprika powder<\/strong>.   <\/p>\n\n<p>If you don&#8217;t like it too savory for breakfast, hummus fatteh is also perfect for <strong>lunch or dinner<\/strong>.
