Admittedly, it sounds a bit bizarre, but why shouldn’t you do it? After all, the pizza from the day before doesn’t end up in the bin, but is put straight into your mouth full of joy. Sometimes you just don’t make it home quickly enough and the kebab has gone cold or you’re already full after one or two bites. Then you don’t have to throw away your pita pocket, but can reheat it in various ways.

Can you still eat the kebab the next day?

Doner kebab tastes best fresh on the go – that’s for sure. But if there is no other way, you can still eat the sandwich the next day. However, there are a few things you should bear in mind:

the kebab must be stored in the fridge and should be eaten after 1 day. If it has been there longer or has not been cooled – please leave it alone.

To prevent it from softening completely, you should remove its contents and store them separately in airtight containers, also in the refrigerator.

If the kebab smells or tastes strange, don’t eat it. The filling of sauce, salad and meat or falafel is highly perishable and can quickly become inedible.

Reheating kebabs in the oven – how to make them crispy again

The oven is perfect for reheating kebabs. Preheat the oven to 100 °C and heat the bread pocket for 10-12 minutes. To do this, unwrap the kebab from the aluminum foil and place it on a baking tray. Halfway through, you can turn the kebab over.

If you don’t like a warm salad, you can take the filling out of the kebab and put it back into the warm bread later. However, you can reheat the meat and falafel in the oven.

Quick and easy: heat up kebabs in the microwave

Don’t want to waste any time and enjoy your kebab in just a few minutes? It may be slightly soggy after heating.

Super important: be sure to take the kebab out of the aluminum foil and place it on a microwave plate, otherwise the foil will spray sparks and toxic fumes may develop.

No oven, no microwave – how to heat up kebabs in the air fryer

The air fryer is the household appliance for all occasions. Here too, the heating times can vary depending on how full the lahmacun is.

By the way, you can also make lahmacun yourself.
