Ingredients

For the bean soup

  • 1 Onion
  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • 1 TBSP Olive oil
  • 1 TSP Cumin
  • 1 TL Sumac
  • 1/2 TSP Cinnamon
  • 2 EL Tahini
  • 700 g white beans (canned, drained weight)
  • 500 ml Vegetable broth
  • Salt and pepper

For garnishing

Zubereitung

  • Prepare roasted chickpeas according to the recipe. Half is enough, but you can also prepare the whole portion and eat the rest in front of the TV.
  • Drain white beans through a sieve and rinse with cold water.
  • Peel and coarsely chop the onion and garlic.
  • Heat oil in a large pot and sauté onion and garlic. 
  • Add spices and beans and fry briefly. Pour in vegetable broth and simmer for about 5 minutes.
  • Remove pot from heat and finely puree beans with a hand blender.
  • Stir in tahini and season with salt and pepper.
  • Garnish white bean soup with roasted chickpeas and chili flakes and serve.
