Hi, I'm Lara and I love food. And cooking. I grew up in the fresh north between potato and cabbage fields. My first dishes were therefore rather hearty and traditionally German. When I moved away to study, I not only met new people, but also new cuisines and recipes. I was particularly taken with Asian cuisine. I flew to Vietnam for the Pho soup. Once there, I discovered my true love - Banh Mi - and ate my way from north to south.
My other favourite cuisine is definitely Levantine. Fresh herbs, aromatic spices, lots of vegetables and fluffy, crispy flatbread. Always accompanied by a dip or a spicy sauce - good food simply makes me happy. And because oriental cuisine is also about conviviality, I prefer to enjoy the food with friends.
